    Product Features:

    What is LOW-E glass
Glass is an important building material, and its use in the construction industry continues to increase as the demand for decorative buildings continues to grow. However, when people today choose glass windows and doors for their buildings, they pay more attention to issues such as heat control, cooling costs and a comfortable balance of internal sunlight projection, in addition to their aesthetic and cosmetic characteristics. This makes low-e glass, the newest member of the coated glass family, stand out and become the center of attention.
Low-E glass, also known as low-e glass, is a film product composed of multiple layers of metal or other compounds coated on the glass surface. Its coating layer has the characteristics of high transmittance of visible light and high reflection of middle and far infrared rays, which makes it have the following obvious advantages compared with ordinary glass and traditional architectural coated glass:

    I. Excellent thermal performance
The heat loss of external door and window glass is the main part of the building energy consumption, accounting for more than 50% of the building energy consumption. Relevant research data show that the heat transfer of the inner surface of the glass is dominated by radiation, accounting for 58%, which means that to reduce heat loss from changing the performance of the glass, the most effective way is to inhibit the radiation of its inner surface. The emissivity of ordinary float glass is as high as 0.84, and when plated with a layer of silver-based low-emissivity film, its emissivity can be reduced to below 0.1. Therefore, the use of Low-E glass in the manufacture of building doors and windows can greatly reduce the transfer of indoor heat energy to the outdoors due to radiation, to achieve the desired energy-saving effect.
Another significant benefit brought about by the reduction of indoor heat loss is environmental protection. During the cold season, the emission of harmful gases such as CO2 and SO2 caused by building heating is an important source of pollution. If Low-E glass is used, due to the reduction of heat loss, the fuel consumed for heating can be greatly reduced, thus reducing the emission of harmful gases.

    Second, good optical properties
Low-E glass has a high transmission ratio of visible light in sunlight, up to 80% or more, while the reflection ratio is very low, which makes it compared with the traditional coated glass, the optical performance is greatly improved. Viewed from the outside, the appearance of more transparent, clear, that is, to ensure that the building of good lighting, but also to avoid the previous large-area glass curtain walls, insulating glass doors and windows light reflection caused by light pollution phenomenon, creating a softer, more comfortable light environment.
The above characteristics of Low-E glass makes it increasingly widely used in developed countries. China is a relatively energy-poor country, the per capita possession of energy is very low, and building energy consumption has accounted for about 27.5% of the total national energy consumption. Therefore, vigorously develop Low-E glass production technology and promote its application areas, will certainly bring significant social and economic benefits.

European manufacturers in the late 1960s began laboratory research “Low-E” In 1978, the United States of America's Intepe (interqane) successfully “Low-E” glass applied to buildings.

The superiority of “Low-E” is unquestionable. Since 1990, “Low-E” usage in the United States with an annual rate of 5% growth. Whether or not “Low-E” will become the dominant form of window glass in the future remains to be seen, but homeowners and aluminum window companies are placing great emphasis on energy-efficient windows and doors. Moreover, the vast majority of this year's buildings are evaluated by its energy-saving effect. Prices are subject to actual negotiation.
